♦ ECCLESHILL SPONSOR BRADFORD PARKRUN

Dear Member,

Most of you will have seen on Facebook that the club is ‘sponsoring’ Bradford parkrun, Lister Park on 30 April this year. I’ve emailed some of you separately about potential roles, but this email is to all members to invite you to get involved. That may be in an official volunteer role such as marshalling the course, or helping set up the ERR tent and stall to promote what we do. If you have any ideas as to how we might be even more visible & engaging with the approx 400 runners who attend, do come forward.
The commitment is from around 8.30am to 10.30am. Full descriptions and support on the day.

You may want to run yourself or just come and catch up with us.  This event is always well supported and it’s a great morning out – especially to catch up with club mates you’ve not seen in a while. We love seeing you all there.

Afterwards, we will meet for a brew / breakfast at Cartwright Hotel just outside the parkgates. We’ll use this to present the winter trophies so please support that too if you can.
If you could let me know if you are coming & able to help out please either by replying to this email or sending one tohelenanddon@blueyonder.co.uk – that would be fantastic. Those already having notified us on FB don’t need to again.
Thank-you
Helen
Club Secretary

♦ BRADFORD 10K DRAW 2016

The two people drawn out for a free entry into this year’s Epilepsy Action 10k were Brian Perfitt & Rachel Rostron. Congratulations to them and don’t forget you too can enter the race – follow the link from the home page on the website. Well done and good luck in the race! Remember if you have a few hours to spare you can give your time to marshal the race as we all know races couldn’t go ahead without the valuable help of people marshalling the runners around the course. If you can help get in touch.

♦ POST CHRISTMAS BASH 2016

This year’s ‘sooper dooper’ Xmas party will be on Saturday 30th January 2016 at the Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford.

There will be drinks on arrival followed by a 3 course meal followed by a (exercise some self restraint!!) Take That Tribute Band. There will be the obligatory Disco for all you disco divas and of course a late bar (for you alchoholics lol!!).

In order to secure your place, at what will be a fantabulous evening, I will need a £5 deposit (which will be returned to you on the night of the do). Please feel free to bring your spouse/partner/best mate etc at a cost of £15 (which must be paid when securing your place, please). As always the club will be standing the cost for club members as a thankyou for your continued support. The club could not function without it’s loyal membership.

So come on guys and gals let’s make this a do to remember and don’t forget you don’t have to wear your running vest and trainers unless you’re kinky that way, lol!!

There’s a sheet at club to  enter your name onto, please ensure that you bring your deposit at time of booking.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask me accordingly

Gillian (Social Secretary)
