On Sunday, a large group of our runners took part in a virtual race in memory of PC 7605 Andrew Harper, who was tragically killed whilst in the line of duty. The aim was to run 7.605km, a reference to his call number. 4000 runners around the country entered this challenge, and it has raised a grand total of £24,448, which will be split between the Thames Valley Police Federation JustGiving page for PC Harper, and UK COPS, a charity which provides support to the families of Police Officers killed on duty.
Everyone at Eccleshill Road Runners would like to offer their heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of PC Harper, and also say a massive thank you to PC Sam Swift from West Yorkshire Police and Trail Snails Bingley for organising this.
No-one should ever go to work without coming home. RIP Andrew Harper.
