This popular race is a joint venture by Hunslet Rugby Foundation, Morley Running Club, South Leeds Lakers and South Leeds Sisters who join forces to host the Bah Humbug 10k.
The single loop course sets off on the track at South Leeds Stadium, before runners are faced with the infamous Scrooge Hill as they head for the ancient woodlands of Middleton Woods. A winding trail route presented a challenge for those looking for a quick time, whilst the beautiful surroundings made it an enjoyable canter for those of a more sedate pace. Old Ebenezer may have been a miser but the same can’t be said of the good folk of South Leeds. In addition to the 10k there was also a free children’s 800m fun run which featured two laps of the track, all youngsters received a reward for their efforts. Mick and Dawn Hogan chose to partake in this festive extravaganza finishing in 71:51 and 77:13 respectively. Well done Guys!
