David Goodyear this weekend travelled to South Yorkshire to take part in The Elsecar running Festival. This Christmasy two day event in the heart of Barnsley in South Yorkshire hosted by It’s Grim Up North running starts and finishes in the beautiful Elsecar Heritage centre . With the lovely Santa steam train running alongside the route this really is designed to kick start Christmas. Runners pick their distance and run on the mixed terrain, 6.7 mile lapped course to achieve their desired race distance. David chose one lap to complete just over 10k.
In true It’s Grim Up North fashion, a Christmas themed cake table awaited the runners’ return and goodies to match. Well done David!(results tbc)
