YORK UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE – SUNDAY 15TH DECEMBER 2019

Eccleshill’s Annie Kisluk’s weekend choice of race this week was another one of the ‘See York, Run York races, York University Challenge. These races are organised by a team who pledge to offer an event for everyone and their aim is to create friendly, York themed running events for all abilities, from trail to track races and 10km events to lapped challenges. This one is a 6 hour lapped event taking place through the grounds of York University.   Billed as a tough out and back route of 2 miles, climbing one of the steepest hills within the University grounds, participants can choose to do one lap and collect their medal or keep going for the full six hours, today Annie completed 12 laps (and the cone of doom and back) for a very tough marathon distance! Amazing achievement in what once again were challenging, extremely cold conditions. Annie received a beautiful, bespoke medal and chocolate treats for finishing her event.

Well done on completing your 59th Marathon Annie (well on her way to the prestigious 100 marathon club!) Time TBC
