ST AIDANS WINTER BEAST – SUNDAY 26TH JANUARY 2020

The new girl on the block, Helen Saunders, took on the St Aidan’s Winter Beast this weekend. Hosted by Evensplits, unlike other races held at St Aidan’s it’s apparently not flat, and it’s definitely not easy. A rare opportunity to complete an unusual distance of 6.66 miles, the course takes in sections of the well-trodden paths and trails around the stunning RSPB Nature Reserve, to give runners some genuine climbs and (weather permitting!) some proper cross country mud! (As if Helen hadn’t had enough of that at Crimple Valley last week!) If runners pause to catch their breath there are some great views of the park to be had when they reach the top!

Helen completed the race in 57:09 – well done Helen!
