BINGLEY BO**OCKS – SATURDAY 3RD APRIL 2021

A welcome return to racing provided by It’s Grim Up North Running came in the form of a previously postponed New Year race, The Bingley Bo**ocks multi distance trail race. starting and finishing at the Fisherman’s Pub in Bingley (where else?!) the race proceeded out towards Skipton on the canal. Providing a range of distances over two days from 5k to a 32 mile ultra and everything in between, some runners took their first tentative steps towards (we hope) racing normality, three of those were Eccleshill’s Sarah Rawlings, Annie Kisluk and David Goodyear. Sarah’s race of choice was the 10k whilst David and Annie took on the half marathon. The route is by and large flat with the small challenge of the 3 and 5 rise locks. The paths were good underfoot and this route again gave great opportunity for a PB. Runners were subject to (due to Covid 19) a staggered approach to start times which were used and meant start times may deviated from those stated by up to 30 minutes. Sarah completed her race in 64:00 minutes, David finished in 2:24:32 and Annie 2:24:00. Well done all!!
