BRADFORD CITY RUNS – SUNDAY 31ST OCTOBER 2021

Another welcome return to the racing Calendar this weekend in the form of the Bradford City Runs. Hosted by Bradford Metropolitan District Council in pertnership with Bradford Athletics Network, the race is billed as a festival of running with a unique format: one 5K loop to create 3 race distances. The undulating 5K loop of Bradford city centre takes in City Park, Bradford University, the Broadway and Little Germany. One lap gets you 5K, two gets you 10K, and 4 (and a bit) gets you a half marathon. Torrential rain however, made conditions rather challenging the longer runners were out on the course but with a bevvy of Eccleshill Road Runners marshalling the race, spirits were no doubt lifted throughout the race. Taking on the half marathon distance Ecccleshill had Dan Kirkham out in the blue & white and completed the gruelling 4 laps in 2:14:42.

Big thanks to Marshals who represented our great club and gave up their time today especially in those terrible weather conditions, well done! Feedback from a lot of the runners praised the marshals out on the course for doing a fantastic job, so give yourselves a big round of applause!
