Not letting their foot off the gas race-wise, Annie Kisluk and David Goodyear intend to see out the festive season in style. Today it’s the Ribble Valley 10k. Hosted by Blackburn Harriers & Athletic Club, it’s a classic fast, traffic free course through the stunning surroundings of the Ribble Valley (A local government district with Borough status within the County of Lancashire with its council based in Clitheroe).
This event is regarded as one of the top few 10k races in the UK and is often the last chance for runners to run a fast time before the new year. This increasingly popular race is also included in the Northern Athletics 10k championships. It attracts runners from all over the country creating a very competitive field and also has an extensive prize list. Despite having an elite front end, this race caters for all abilities with roads being fully closed off, accurately measured and Run Britain licensed. David finished the race in 59:47 and Annie in 54:50 Brilliant running both, well done!
