Kicking off her 2022 racing in the form of the Sir Titus Winter Trot hosted by It’s Grim Up North Running was Eccleshill’s Katie Glossop. Launching their fundraising for this years Charity, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), on one their most popular events. The race started a year of fundraising for this worthy charity, with 25 % of all profits from this event going to the charity, The course consisted largely of tow path which for the most part, is great underfoot, recent rain though left some fine puddles to negotiate. Runners were able to choose one of seven distances on offer for this flat out and back which allows participants to push themselves to choose the next distance or even gain that elusive personal best time for their chosen distance. As usual an array of homemade cakes awaited all finishers along with chocolate, beer and a fabulous bespoke medal . A bespoke T shirt for MND was available to order at the time of booking. Katie chose the 10 mile option and finished in a fabulous time of 1:56:15. Well done Katie!
