TEMPLE NEWSAM 10 MILE – SUNDAY 9TH JANUARY 2022

Now in its 6th year, St Theresa’s Athletic Club (STAC) proudly presented a very wet and muddy edition of the Temple Newsam 10 miler. On offer were 10 miles of beautiful, multi terrain on and off road running in and around the stunning grounds of the Temple Newsam Estate in Leeds. The course took runners through woodlands, country paths and around nearby lakes. Three Eccleshill Road Runners were out in the blue and white today in this popular race which sells out it’s 1000 race limit in just 24 hours. Popular is an understatement, blink and you miss the entry! Conditions today were tricky underfoot as a result of the recent heavy rain fall making for mud and puddles aplenty and with ample hills thrown in for good measure this one is not for the faint hearted – TNT = Tough Not Timid!. A fantastic way to kick off your 2022 running campaign and providing finishers with a long sleeved technical tee shirt & medal. Leading the team home was Tony Redmond in 1:36:33, Gillian Jago 1:37:41 and Sarah Myers 2:06:56. Well done Team fearless!
