MUDDY BOOTS 10K – SUNDAY 6TH FEBRUARY 2022

David Goodyear pulled on the blue and white to take part in this popular race. The Muddy Boots is an undulating multi-terrain course of approx. 10k through picturesque countryside, including road, footpaths and trails. Hosted by St Wilfrid’s Association, the Muddy Boots is a sell out, chip timed event which is a well-established feature of the local running calendar with over 500 entries sold each year. The race covers an approximate distance of 10 kilometres which starts and finishes at St Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary School, in the picturesque Cathedral city of Ripon. A multi-terrain course over undulating farmland, through picturesque countryside incorporates a mixture of road, footpaths and trails. Entrants and their supporters can enjoy a variety of refreshments, including their hugely popular homemade cakes available at Race HQ before, during and after the race. In conjunctions with the 10k, the Muddy Boots Fun Run takes place prior to the 10k and is an approximate 1 kilometre course across the school and adjoining Ripon Grammar school fields providing something for all the family. Finishers were rewarded with a commemorative cup, along with treats such as chocolate, biscuits and even a tea bag for that all important post race cuppa! David finished in 68:58. Well done!
