Hosted by It’s Grim Up North Running, The Bingley Bollocks at least brought some respite from the recent bad weather. An almost ‘spring like’ sunny morning set the tone for this multi distance race. Starting and finishing from the fisherman’s pub on the canal at Bingley, the race ventures out along the towpath towards Skipton. The route is by and large flat with the small challenge of the 3 and 5 rise locks to break the monotony. The path is good underfoot and this combined with it being a flat route gave a great opportunity for a personal best at any of the seven distances on offer. Today though, Sarah Myers chose the 10k and was more than happy with her (unofficial) time of 62:59 (official times to be confirmed). Well done Sarah!
