Eccleshill’s Gillian Jago was racing for the third weekend in a row, this week closer to home in Wakefield. The Wakefield 10k is organised by Wakefield Hospice. This year was the 25th edition of the race. A previous winner of the Challenge Awards Best 10K in the North this popular race raises much needed funds for patient care at the Hospice. The race is an out and back route on supposed closed roads but for reasons unknown runners had to contend with that not being the case this year. Starting and finishing at the fabulous Thornes Park the sun was shining but despite that conditions were absolutely perfect for running. Gill finished in a course PB of 49:21 Well done Gill!
