The 27th annual Baildon Boundary Way half marathon took place today and was the race chosen by Eccleshill’s Tony Redmond. The event, hosted by Baildon Runners is a tough, trail half marathon encompassing some challenging terrain around the beautiful town and moors of Baildon.
ABL Financiers are pleased to announce that they are the official sponsors for this very popular race. Also this year the organisers are supporting the Baildon Tree Planting Partnership. Initially entrants could choose to receive a race t-shirt momento or forfeit and contribute the cost towards planting new trees. The route takes runners across the moors, woodland and canal towpath in one of the most beautiful parts of the County. Cold but sunny weather conditions today made for the perfect opportunity to get out there and make a serious attempt at a personal best for this course. Tony did just that! Romping home in the blue and white in a fantastic time of 2:05:41 bettering his 2020 race time by a whopping 17 minutes.
