THE SWAINBY SWEEP – SUNDAY 24TH APRIL 2022

posted in: Race Reports | 0

On a beautiful sunny, Spring Sunday with a choice of 16 mile or 7 mile circular trail races, starting and finishing at Swainby Village Hall, David Goodyear opted for the 7 miler. The race took runners around the beautiful North York Moors, from Swainby village via Scarth Wood Moor, Oak Dale, Osmotherley Moor Uplands and sections of the Cleveland Way on a fully marked course with feed stations en-route.  Hosted by Moors & Dales Races, the race has a TRA permit and is held under UK Athletic rules. There was an optional Event Tech T-shirt available to purchase at time of entry and prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd in age categories. By way of a charitable deed, a small donation to the North York Moors National Park and Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team is included in each runner’s entry fee. David posted a time of (TBC)
Great running, well done!
