THE BLUEBELL TRAIL 10 MILE – SUNDAY 8TH MAY 2022

So as the long journey to fitness and marathon stamina begins, Sarah Myers takes to the road, or should I say trail with one of the most coveted races in the local vicinity. Always a sell out, this
10.3 mile multi terrain race, back after a 3 year absence, takes participants through beautiful woodlands, along canal towpaths and trails, not to mention cobbled streets with the occasional hill thrown in here and there. This unique course incorporates some of the most scenic routes within the whole of Yorkshire. Included in the thrill is the infamous Trooper Lane and a refreshing river crossing to finish! It will come as no surprise then that the elevation gain tops 1500 feet. Organised by Stainland Lions Running Club it is an event that attracts runners from all over time and time again. For the first time in 2022 the race is chip timed. Sarah finished this challenge in 2:27:39 Excellent running, well done!
