The Windermere Marathon is one of a handful of marathons run entirely within a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Often described as the friendliest and most beautiful UK marathon, runners finish this breath-taking course, amidst a carnival atmosphere, in the grounds of Brathay Hall with stunning views over England’s largest lake. Annie Kisluk, Dan Jenkins and David Goodyear tackled this one on what turned out to be a wet, hot and humid weekend. Annie is amazingly completing her 70th Marathon, what a milestone! How about some fascinating facts surrounding this popular race? There are: 8 refreshment stations, 500 spectating sheep, 6,000 bananas eaten and each runner will take an amazing 33,000 steps!! Annie & Dan finished in 4:56:40 and David 4:57:30. Well done all!
