SIR TITUS SUMMER TROT – SUNDAY 17TH JULY 2022

posted in: Race Reports | 0

Hosted by ‘It’s Grim Up North’ running this popular event offers a range of distances from 5k up to a 52k ultra marathon and everything in between. A welcome return to the Leeds Liverpool canal this time in the stunning village of Saltaire with registration being held 100 yards from the start line at Caroline street. The tow path on this event is great underfoot so this flat outback may just be the one that allows runners to push themselves to the next distance or for a personal best at their chosen distance. Just one Eccleshill runner took part today and for David Goodyear the chosen distance was 10k. Soaring temperatures made for tough conditions today and with not even the slight breeze the lower the distance today, the better. As always, there was an array of homemade cakes for all of the runners and their supporters, and the usual chocolate, beer and bespoke medal for finishers. David finished the race in 61:49 Well done David!
