Hosted by It’s Grim up North Running this same race was staged earlier this year in chilly February but IGUN guaranteed it would be a huge hit in the warmer month of August and it didn’t disappoint. With seven distances to choose from there is a distance for every ability, from a 5k up to an ultra, put this together with a post-race BBQ, strawberries & cream and the scene is set for not just a great race but a sociable day out and a chance to catch up with your running pals. Daniel Jenkins chose the half marathon distance and managed to put in a sterling performance finishing in 6th position in a fantastic time of 1:39:44. All participants received the usual rewards, beer, chocolate and of course a bespoke medal. Well done Dan!!
