Daniel Jenkins found his next challenge in the form of the – INFERNO – Edale’s Ring of Hell Ultra, the organisers also offer a Half Marathon, 10 miles & 10k all set in the heart of Peak District (UK’s Original National Park) and provide an unforgettable adventure thanks to its wide range of terrain. Not for the fait hearted most entrants enter not for a jolly race but for the challenge of the tough Trails and Ring of Hell most certainly lives up to its name.  The race starts in Edale (just 5 min walk from a very well connected train station, which is super convenient) and quickly leads up Ringing Roger via steep ascent. The race follows sheep tracks, muddy paths, rocky descents and even a climb up waterfall with crystal clear water (that’s their unofficial water station). The event is run over the whole weekend with Ultra and 10miles courses on Saturday and half marathon & 10k on Sunday. For real nutters there will be an option to enter double and do either Ultra and half/10k or 10m and half/10k. The race is self-navigated – GPX, map with marked route will is provided to download. The organisers also organise a recce for each course throughout the year 2022 to get runners familiar with terrain and route. Dan completed the tough 33.88 miles in 9:29:41 Well done Dan!
