Eccleshill’s Gillian Jago took on the Village Bakery Wrexham Half Marathon this weekend as the taper up (or should that be down?) to her marathons commences in earnest. Hosted by Run Cheshire , the Village Bakery Wrexham Half Marathon, is a race that had previously endured a chequered reputation but now boasts a sell out 3000 race limit and is one of the fastest and most popular half marathons in the region. Starting on Bridge Road North and finishing at ‘The Club House’ Oak Road on Wrexham Industrial Estate, this classic race is popular with some of the fastest runners in the region as well as those tackling the distance for the first time. The course was reallIy well marshalled course with plenty of support and regular drink stations. Gill put the marathon legs through their paces finishing in a fabulous time of 01:55:34. Really well done Gill!
