Eccleshill’s Sarah Rawlings and David Goodyear took on this local 10k for this weekend’s Sunday race fix. Hosted by Morley Run Club, their inaugural race, was an out and back, chip timed route and had a total climb of 143metres (allegedly quite hilly!). The route is run on closed roads an and around the town of Morley, starting on a wide lane before heading into town past the Town Hall. They then proceed onto Morley bottom where from there, it’s take them up Asquith Avenue to the junction with Geldard Road. Then it was back to Morley Bottom for a small loop before finishing on Queens Street. Vital funds are raised to support Morley Elderly Action. All finishers received a medal and a digital goody bag. Sarah finished in 54:33 and David Goodyear in 60:46. Great running folks! Well done!
