It’s nearly Halloween 🎃 and there’s a half marathon to be had. That’s all the temptation that Eccleshill’s Sarah Rawlings needed! Organised by Worksop Harriers & AC and established in 1982, making this the 40th Edition of this popular race. The Worksop Halloween Half Marathon (also known as ‘the scenic one’) takes place on the last Sunday in October every year. The course runs largely through Clumber Park, which provides beautiful scenery and is perfect for spectators to support their family and friends along the route. The challenging course is undulating but definitely one where a PB is always possible. In Autumn the trees in Clumber park are looking wonderful and are a treat to run through, coupled with Autumnal (Halloween) conditions made for an all round pleasant run. Sarah finished the race in a very respectable time of 2:03:36 Another notch on the South Yorkshire running calendar for the blue and whites. Brilliant running Sarah, well done!
