KIRKSTALL ABBEY TRAIL RUNNING FESTIVAL – SATURDAY, 12TH NOVEMBER 2022

Eccleshill’s Annie Kisluk today completed her 72nd marathon! The 26.2 of choice was part of It’s Grim Up North’s Kirkstall Abbey Trail Running Festival. This established multi-distance mixed terrain running festival was back for no less than it’s seventh year to the delight of many runners who now take part annually. A mixture of field, pavement, trail and canal tow path means there is something for everyone. The event starts and finishes on the grounds of the magnificent Kirkstall Abbey, a stunning medieval Cistercian Abbey, and is set on the banks of the River Aire. Participants were invited to ‘come and enjoy a great celebration of running’. Dry conditions and Autumnal sunshine made for perfect conditions for the race. In keeping with Grim races, finishers were rewarded with cake, a medal and fabulous goodie bag. Annie finished third lady in 5:59 – really well done!
