REMEMBRANCE RUN – SUNDAY 13TH NOVEMBER 2022

Dan Jenkins finished off a busy running weekend with this very respectful event designed to commemorate the fallen on Remembrance Day. RunAble came together in partnership with Go Be Runners to bring together this fitting tribute and opened it to all abilities and ages. Generously and selflessly making sure that 100 per cent of proceedings went straight to the Royal British Legion. It came in the form of a 14km guided run which stopped at several war memorials to pay respect and share a moment of reflection.
The route started at Birkenshaw Church with a short ceremony including a 2 minute silence. A bugler then set off on the first leg of the run followed by a march up to East Brierley church where a wreath was laid  then a run over to Birkenshaw Roundabout. From here on to Cleckheaton Memorial, Heckmondwike Memorial then finish with a run on to Batley Memorial. All participants received a pre-entry T-shirt. A fitting and respectful end to a busy weekend of running for Dan. Great. Running, well done!
