Hosted by Knavesmire Harriers, 2023 sees the 40th edition of this hugely popular half marathon. This fast, flat half which starts at York Racecourse sells out year on year and this year was no exception. Two Eccleshill runners, Claire Hern & Robert Sutton took on the fast and flat course, which from the Racecourse headed southwards through Bishopthorpe, Acaster Selby, Appleton Roebuck and back through Bishopthorpe to finish behind the Racecourse grandstands. Conditions today were less challenging than of late although a cold wind was the order of the day it was at least much drier today when as usual, hundreds of runners are gunning for a personal best times. Claire finished the race in 1:30:14 and Rob 2:04:21 Well done!
