The second of back to back races for Eccleshill’s Daniel Jenkins came in the form of the Thornton In Craven Fell Race, hosted by Barlick Fell Runners this classic fell race offered a choice of two distances; short 5 km / 3.1 miles or long 5 km / 3.1 miles. Dan chose the long race. The two races start together with both distances going over the summit of Pin Haw to Lothersdale and back. Intrue fell race style entry is on the day and is cash only and all for the bargain price of £5! Registration opened from 9:00 at The Club House, Booth Bridge Lane, Thornton in Craven, Skipton, with the usual kit requirements – mandatory kit full waterproofs (with taped seams), hat and gloves, a map of the course, a compass, a whistle and some food. Dan no doubt welcomed the cooler conditions and finished in 20th place in 1:21:00 Well done Dan!
