The inaugural Malham Trail Half Marathon was the third race in the Due North Trail Trilogy.  Starting in the show field, in Malham village. Participants ran through the famous locations of Malham Cove and Malham Tarn. A climb up to Weets Top which rewarded them with a beautiful long descent with amazing views  all the way. The Partially way marked course had drinks stations with water, juice , fruit and sweets. There was a post race meal – pasta/pie/soup or similar and a bottle of beer from Timothy Taylors for the finishers, as well as Due North Merchandise and other goodies from race sponsors. There is a minimum kit requirement to compete in this event requiring a waterproof jacket, a cup/bottle for water and a mobile phone with location App such as OS Locate or View ranger. Prizes were presented as soon as the lucky winner of each category finished the race. Gemma commented on the day saying ” I absolutely loved it. The Marshalls and other runners were great” Gemma smashed it  finishing in 2:34:49 coming 4th in her age category. Fantastic running, well done!
