The Leeds Golden Mile is one of those very rare opportunities to race the mile distance on an athletics track. The event is super inclusive and open to all runners regardless of their speed! Runners are placed in heats based upon their predicted time, competing in a heat with runners of the same ability. There were also separate heats for 8-11 year olds and 12-16 year olds. Dan Jenkins stormed the mile in 00:05:24!! (Son Josh also had a fabulous run in 00:05:40 – watch out Dan he’s on your tail!!) Well done!
