The Hopton 10k is billed as a fun but challenging run through beautiful woodlands and quiet road around the village of Hopton, Mirfield West Yorkshire and a great introduction to trail running. Taking part in his second race in as many days, Daniel Jenkins joined team mate Sarah Rawlings as they both donned the blue and white for this popular race! Hosted by Hopton Primary School, now in its 4th year, Hopton 10k takes place on quiet roads and woodland bridleways in and around the small village of Hopton, Mirfield. All proceeds go to support Hopton Primary School. A popular route over mixed terrain with a few steady climbs; 60% trail and 40% road, heavy rain yesterday made for a bit of a mudfest making conditons underfoot challenging. Finishers were rewarded with a t-shirt. Dan finished in 59:59 and Sarah 70:43 Well done!
