IT’S A PIECE OF CAKE 10K – SATURDAY 4TH MAY, 2024

Running and cake? What could be better? Hosted by Manchester Frontrunners, a chip-timed, community-focused 10 km road race through one of Manchester’s loveliest parks. However, Dan Jenkins declared, it absolutely was not a piece of cake!! The 10k Cake Race took place on paved footpaths through Boggart Hole Clough in North Manchester, one of the city’s largest and most beautiful parks. Friendly and enthusiastic volunteers cheer ed runners on as they ran the three-lap course. There were though, slight challenges ahead, namely Angel Hill, steep, but thankfully short, and apparently, it’s that hill that brings so many people back to do the race year on year! Finishers can then indulge in a delectable array of homemade delights from their legendary charity cake sale. Despite his protest Dan stormed home in the blue and white in a fabulous time of 42:07
