IGUN SUMMER SERIES – THURSDAY 1ST AUGUST 2024

posted in: Race Reports | 0

This week’s destination of choice for the ‘pop up’ Summer series race was billed as being Marsden, a slight change due to the ongoing moorland fire at Marsden Moor meant it was actually staged at Slaithwaite, their motto ‘rock up & run means just that, and rocking up for Eccleshill again this week was Sarah Rawlings. The Grim Up North Rock up & Run Series is a collection of events run each week on a Thursday evening, with a choice of 5k or 10k distance. The aim of the series is to keep runners motivated (and race fit) over the summer months. There’s no need for pre race entry as it’s entry on the night only, turn up pay your money and you’re in! Sarah took on her third 10k in a week, two races and a 10k club run! Temperatures were once again very warm this week making for challenging conditions. Finishing in a great time of 64:37. Sarah was rewarded with a jumble medal, beer or soft drink and sweetie bag. Well done!
