Hosted by It’s Grim up North Running, participants are invited to ‘enjoy a trip up the Leeds and Liverpool Canal this Autumn with the Sir Titus Autumn Fudge Trudge’. With distances ranging from 5k to Ultra, all along the flat, even towpath, this event is perfect for runners of all abilities, from novices to Ultra PB chasers! A popular event and a return to the Leeds Liverpool canal this time in the lovely Saltaire. The tow path on this event is great underfoot so this flat outback is the one that allows runners to push themselves to the next distance. For this chip timed event all runners have to do is choose one of the six distances available from 5k right up to a 32 miles ultra and everything in between! Eccleshill’s Sarah Rawlings chose the 10k option today in what turned out to be perfect conditions for running if a tad chilly early doors, a welcome alternative the rain that was forecast I’m sure! Good canal tow paths with the odd puddle and spot of mud made for perfect condiitons underfoot too. There were a reported big amount of personal best times achieved today at all distances. Sarah romped home in a fabulous time of 57:19 and earned herself the usual Grim goodies and a fabulous Fudge Trudge medal. Well done Sarah!
