As the festive season approaches the race Calendar begins too offer ‘festive’ races. One such race on offer is The Langdale Christmas Pudding 10K. Hosted by ‘Brathay Challenges’ this year held on 14 December. The route takes runners through the beautiful Great Langdale Valley in the Lake District.s A chilly but perfect day for a run in the stunning Lake District is enough to lure Eccleshill’s Annie Kisluk to one of her favourite destinations. Always challenging but the beautiful surroundings more than make up for the effort it takes to complete the course. Billed as a 10k they quite often come in over the distance and this one as no exception at 6.27 miles. The start line is at the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, followed by 5km of running to Elterwater village. The course then loops through the Langdale Hotel Estate, before returning to the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel. Now a popular event on the race calendar , this is the perfect way to kick off the festive season with many entrants dressed in festive costumes. Every finisher is, of course, rewarded with a Christmas Pudding! Annie finished the race in a fabulous time of 58:04! Well done Annie!
