Eccleshill Road Runners were proudly represented this weekend as Daniel Jenkins took on the rugged and rewarding challenge of the Marsden Moors Marathon, completing the demanding course in a commendable time of 4 hours, 10 minutes, and 23 seconds storming to a third place finish! This tough off-road marathon, known for its breathtaking scenery and brutal climbs, winds through the wild and picturesque moorland around Marsden in West Yorkshire. With over 3,000 feet of elevation and a mix of rocky trails, grassy paths, and steep descents, the event is as much a test of grit as it is of endurance. Daniel tackled the course with determination, pacing himself strongly through the early climbs and navigating the unpredictable terrain with confidence. His time is a reflection not only of his fitness but also his experience in managing the unique demands of long-distance trail running. Congratulations to Daniel on a fantastic effort and for flying the flag for Eccleshill in one of Yorkshire’s most challenging trail marathons!
