Hosted by Otley AC and sponsored by Yorshire Runner, 2025 saw the 40th edition of the Otley 10 mile race.
Always a popular event attracting beginners, serious runners and club teams too, to whisk around the stunning local scenic country roads. This chip timed event is still a popular fixture of the Yorkshire running scene with a very friendly but competitive atmosphere. The race starts and finishes at Otley cricket club with a grandstand finish, barbecue and prize giving all in a Yorshire Dales backdrop. Eccleshill’s Sarah Rawlings stepped out on this very warm evening to take on the challenge in around 23 degree heat along with Sarah Myers. The now ‘not so new’ route famously misses out some of the curves on the main road and allows more space away from the houses. Sarah R finished in a fabulous time of 1:46:19 and Sarah M 2:00:38 Great running in very tough conditions, well done Ladies!
