Another race in the bank for the Sarah’s (Rawlings & Myers) as they travelled to the beautiful ceremonial County of Northumberland in the North East. Kicking off the weekend with a parkrun at Druridge Bay on Saturday as a warm up for a 10k on Sunday. Organised by Runnation, the ever popular Bamburgh 10k returned for 2025, run on closed roads, the undulating course starts in front of Bamburgh Castle and finishes just outside the village, with great views of the historic North East landmark and coastline. The 2025 route features fully closed roads throughout. Once again this will be the only World Athletics Label Road Race in the North East this year – making it one of 155 races globally with this status. runners lined up to be part of this unique race led by some of the finest 10k runners in the world.
Chip timing was used on this accurately measured route on the Northern coast of England. All finishers received a medal and had an option to purchase a t-shirt at an extra cost. Sarah R finished in 56:34 and Sarah M 62:11 Well done Ladies!
