Emma Callaghan kicked off her Bank Holiday with a multi terrain 10k! The 6.5-mile trail race on undulating terrain, offers a mix of scenic trails, farm tracks, and woodland paths along the main walkway, looping around Brierley and Thorpe Woods. Hosted by Billingham Running Club (BRC) and kindly sponsored by DA Components and HD Flooring. Unusually for a bank holiday, running conditions were perfect, after a chilly start to the morning, runners were treated to some spring sunshine and despite a downpour the previous day the conditions underfoot were tolerable., some may say, perfect! The event is run in partnership with Trees not Tees. The choice to plant trees instead of producing event merchandise is about creating a double positive impact on the environment. Emma galloped home in a brilliant time of 51:52, well done! Emma
