Eccleshill Road Runners were out in force at the inspiring Run For All Rob Burrow Leeds Half Marathon, joining thousands of runners on the streets of Leeds for one of Yorkshire’s most meaningful running events. Starting and finishing at the iconic Headingley Stadium, the race brings together runners of all abilities in support of the message ‘Run With A Mate, For A Mate’, celebrating friendship, community, and the incredible fundraising efforts inspired by Rob Burrow and supported so passionately by Kevin Sinfield. Leading the way for Eccleshill was Marc Steele, who put in a strong performance to finish in 1:52:48, closely followed by John Turner in an excellent 1:55:53. Next home was Dan Kirkham, battling through the demanding 13.1-mile course to finish in 2:10:42, with Laura Hammond crossing shortly after in 2:12:23. Megan Weldon continued the club’s strong showing with a determined run of 2:14:52, while Annie Kisluk rounded off the Eccleshill results with a fantastic effort and finish time of 2:31:18. With huge crowds, fantastic support, and an emotional atmosphere throughout the day, it was another memorable edition of a race that means so much to so many across Yorkshire and beyond. Well done to all our runners for proudly representing Eccleshill Road Runners!
