PRIORY 10K – WEDNESDAY 15TH JULY, 2026

Hosted by Ackworth Road Runners, this popular race boasts a ‘beautiful run through the grounds and parkland of this popular National Trust property’! The event is held within the grounds and parkland of Nostell Priory, a magnificient Georgian property owned by the National Trust which tonight, was bathed in Summer evening sunshine. Out in the blue and white for another mid-week race this week were The Sarahs Rawlings and Myers! Throughout the course, runners visit much of the beautiful landscaped gardens, lakeside walks and meadowland with the start and finish right in front of the house. It is a multi-terrain, undulating course with a variety of surfaces including tarmac, well surfaced paths and a section following a grass track. The course is 2 laps, the second shorter than the first! A great event for spectators who can see runners pass 3 times without moving far from the facilities at the Stables block. Also available were a 2.5km fun run and 5km option, both ladies though, chose the 10k option, finding conditions extremely warm they both did fantastic runs with Sarah Myers leading them home in 56:17 and Sarah Rawlings hot on her heels in 61:35! Well done ladies, amazing effort in tough conditions.
