Billed as one of the Uk’s most scenic half marathons the Windmill Half, hosted by Fylde Coast Runners, starts and finishes on beautiful Lytham Green, combining stunning sea views, the iconic Lytham Windmill, and a fast and flat course that meanders along the picturesque coastal front of Lytham St Annes and Fairhaven, perfect for chasing a PB or conquering your first 13.1 miles. Sarah Myers took on her second race of the weekend and welcomed incredible support, a fantastic atmosphere, and miles of fresh coastal air. Participants tackled a two-lap route, complete with multiple water stations to keep everyone hydrated and energized during the recent hot spell we’ve been experiencing. With the event being fully marshalled, runners were able to focus on their performance while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere created by the friendly Fylde Coast Runners community. It is quite often said that “this is more than just a race—it’s an unforgettable running experience”. Sarah finished in a fabulous time of 2:06:59 earning herself an amazing medal, well done Sarah
