WETHERBY 10K – SUNDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER 2021

Vicky Cousins stepped out in the blue and white to represent Eccleshill Road Runners in this ‘cracking little Yorkshire run’. Hosted by Wetherby Runners Athletic Club. The race has a relatively short history and in 2021 they are proud to host the race for the sixteenth year. Since its inception it has become a firm favourite with runners from around the region and beyond. The date of the race suits those training for The Yorkshire Marathon in October or with the Great North Run in mind as it offers a fast course as a tapering run the week before the big day. This year the proceeds of the race entry goes to the Bone Cancer Trust. It is a chip timed event with a race limit of 814 runners. The race is Gold-Graded by the British Association of Road Race and was the BARR National winner of the Bill Reynolds Memorial Trophy 2014. On the day there was also the Wetherby Mini Marathon for the younger runners.
Weather conditions were a tad warm today and with a 2pm start conditions were tough going for this event. Well done Vicky! (Times are still to be confirmed.)
