Daniel Jenkins hopped over to Peterstow for this aptly named Easter Extravaganza! Hosted by ‘Ultra Running’ there were a choice of distances on offer including 5k, 10k half marathon & marathon. Race entry details invited runners to ‘soak up the warm spring sunshine in this running event set on the private trails and footpaths of Severn Way. With four distances to choose from, there is a race for seasoned athletes as well as complete beginners. Cross the finish to earn an easter-themed medal’, who could resist? Certainly not Dan! The route for all distances took place primarily on private farmland, the course was though, fully marked with bright yellow arrows ensuring runners could easily follow the correct route. A last minute change The 1.5 mile looped, entirely off-road route meant a lot of laps were needed to complete the marathon, 12 in total, fortunately Dan didn’t lose count and finished the race in first place in 03:31:00. Congratulations Dan, awesome running!
