Eccleshill Road Runners were represented on the international stage as Mark Hayward took on the iconic Schneider Electric Paris Marathon, finishing in 5:24:37. One of the world’s most famous marathons, the race takes runners through the heart of the French capital, passing landmarks such as the Champs-Élysées, the Eiffel Tower, and along the banks of the River Seine. With huge crowds and an electric atmosphere, it’s a truly memorable event from start to finish. Mark tackled the 26.2-mile challenge with determination and resilience while running in support of Alzheimer’s Research, a fantastic charity close to many people’s hearts and adding extra meaning to an already incredible achievement. Completing a marathon is always a huge accomplishment, and doing so on an international stage while raising awareness for such an important cause makes it even more special. A fantastic effort — congratulations and really well done on your running and fundraising achievements Mark!
