Hosted by it’s Grim Up North Running this new series of events is aimed at keeping runners motivated (and race fit) over the summer months. Offering the choice of 5K and 10K the races are run weekly on a Wednesday evening. As an added bonus any runner participating in four races will get their fifth free and the overall winner will be announced at the end of the series. This week’s destination was Bingley. Quite a few degrees cooler than of late, runners welcomed near perfect conditions for an evening run from Bingley Five Rise Locks to Salts Mill at Saltaire and back again along the canal. Two Eccleshill Road Runners, Annie Kisluk and David Goodyear took part in the 10k race. There is no online booking for these events payment is made on the day and with no need to pre-book meaning an impromptu race is available each week throughout the summer. Annie finished in 56:25 and David 58:13. Well done guys!
