Dan Jenkins chose another ‘Run Through’ event to celebrate Yorkshire Day. Heaton Park is a large park, just north of Manchester and home to a Grade 1 listed neoclassical 18th century house. It is the perfect setting for a fun and frantic day out. Running on the paths within Heaton Park, this race is a great opportunity for a chip timed personal best at whichever of the three distances they choose, a 5k loop, or a 2 lap 10k, or a slightly differing half marathon course, each is undulating, starting and finishing in the centre of the park. The course explores the entire park, passing the iconic and beautiful Heaton Hall each lap. Runners were rewarded with a unique themed Heaton Park medal. Dan finished a fantastic 7th in the race and 4th in his age category with a fabulous time of 1:35:53, well done!
