IT’S GRIM UP NORTH “SUMMER EVENING SERIES” – WEDNESDAY 11TH AUGUST 2021

Introducing this latest edition and a welcome midweek event for three Eccleshill Road Runners. This week’s 10k race from picturesque Saltaire  in near perfect conditions for running provided every chance of that elusive PB becoming a reality.

The Grim Up North Summer Evening Series is a new series of events for 2021 aimed at keeping runners motivated (and race fit) over the summer months. Offering the choice of 5K and 10K they are held each Wednesday at 18:45 with no need for pre race entry as it’s entry on the night only, turn up pay your fee and you’re in! In addition, any runner participating in four races will get their fifth free and an overall winner will be announced at the end of the series.
Destinations in the series include: Fewston, Bingley (canal race), Slaithwaite (Canal Race), Saltaire (Canal Race), Kirkstall (Canal Race), Huddersfield (Canal Race), Fewston (BBQ evening). Out in the blue and white we had Annie Kisluk who volunteered to be the runner marshall from the back (01:28:40) in addition Alison Rawson & Sarah Rawlings also ran finishing together in (01:04:18) Well done ladies!
