SIR TITUS TROT AUTUMNAL TRAIL (Day 1) – SATURDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER, 2021

posted in: Race Reports | 0

Two Eccleshill runners represented the club again this weekend, undeterred by a two day event David Goodyear and Annie Kisluk were out in the club colours once again. Seven different distances starting with 5k going through all the disciplines up to the Ultra marathon. David chose the marathon and Annie the 20 mile. Grim Up North’s final visit this year to Saltaire gave entrants another opportunity to assess their progress or simply to enjoy the changes to the landscape that autumn brings. With of today’s perfect weather conditions, the canal towpath being good underfoot and combined with such a menu on offer, the flat out and back is just the right tonic for runners to push themselves to the next distance. As always an array of homemade cakes awaited all finishers not to mention chocolate, beer and a HUGE bespoke medal. David completed the 26.2 mile in 5:44:10 and Annie the 20 mile in 4:15:00 Well done guys, tomorrow is another day (and another race!)
