PECO XC RACE 2 – SUNDAY 5TH DECEMBER, 2021

The second race in the 2021/22 series was held at the stunning venue of Temple Newsam House and hosted by St Theresa’s Athletic Club. Notorious for challenging conditions when the TNT race is held there, today didn’t disappoint. Copious amounts of rain the day before ensured perfect cross country conditions. Mud baths and huge puddles made conditions under foot tricky. The race started with an anti-clockwise lap between two copses and then turned down the hill at a gate, continuing to the bottom of the field and then looped round back past the start. Woods, and an old golf course gave views right down into Leeds. The parkrun route also features in the course top. The senior route was 4.7 miles and the junior 1 and 2 miles. Five ERRers took on the senior course with Marcus Myers once again representing our junior blue and whites. Paul Croston 50:11, Gillian Jago 47:31, Robert Sutton 47:49, Charlotte Jackson 42:08 and Brian Perfitt 50:05. Well done team! Next race Sunday 19th December, Middleton Park.
